Birth Chart

A birth chart — also called a natal chart — is a map of where every planet in the solar system was positioned at the exact moment you were born. It's unique to you, like a cosmic fingerprint, and astrologers use it to understand personality, patterns, and timing in your life.

Your birth time is needed to calculate your Rising sign (Ascendant) and house placements. Without it, we can still show you your Sun, Moon, and all planetary signs — which covers a lot of ground. If you don't know your birth time, try your birth certificate, hospital records, or ask a parent.

Your Sun sign represents your core identity and ego — the self you're growing into. Your Moon sign reflects your emotional world, instincts, and what you need to feel safe. Your Rising sign (Ascendant) is how you come across to others — your outward style and first impression. Together, these three are called the Big Three and form the foundation of your chart.

Different astrology tools use different house systems. We use Whole Sign houses — the oldest system in astrology — where each house corresponds to one complete zodiac sign. Other sites may use Placidus or Koch, which divide houses differently. Neither is wrong; they're different lenses on the same chart.

Aspects are the angles formed between planets in your chart. They describe how your planetary energies interact — whether they flow easily (trines, sextiles) or create tension that pushes growth (squares, oppositions). A conjunction means two planets are close together and blend their energy.
